One-point perspective

Perspective with a single vanishing point on the horizon.

One-point perspective is a perspective projection where all lines that recede into the distance converge at a single vanishing point located on the horizon line. It's the perspective you get when you look straight down a hallway, into a room from a centered position, or down a street toward a distant building. Horizontal lines stay horizontal, vertical lines stay vertical, and only depth lines converge.

In architectural rendering, one-point perspective is the workhorse composition for interior shots. A camera positioned in the doorway looking straight into a room produces a one-point perspective render that emphasizes symmetry and gives the eye an obvious anchor — the back wall — to settle on. It's also commonly used for centered exterior shots of symmetric buildings (a classical facade head-on, a courthouse from the steps).

AI rendering produces one-point perspective whenever the camera angle suggests it. To push the AI toward this composition explicitly, mention 'centered one-point perspective looking into the room' or 'symmetric one-point perspective view'. The composition works particularly well for renders of corridors, atriums, gallery rooms, and any architecture organized around a strong axis. Two-point perspective (corner shots) and three-point perspective (looking up or down) are the alternatives.
